Kanazawa Artists 金澤の漆芸家

Young and talented artists from Kanazawa are creating a new wave in the urushi lacquerwork. 

Here we introduce works of Guinomi specially made for Kogei Styling,

    by Chihiro Yamawaki (山脇千尋)

    by Reia Momose (百瀬玲亜).

Chihiro Yamawaki has created an elegant and fine atmosphere in the small but big Guinomi world. She used mother-of-pearl inlay tachniques and laid hundreds of selected glittering pearl oysters and sorrounded it with gold maki-e.  

Reia Momose has created gorgeous and grandeur look with a sure presence in the small but big Guinomi world. She used her original dry lacquer method, and creataed unique and mystic taste that shines deeply to your heart.

Both artists have studied in Kanazawa and works in the area.
